PEBBLES

Written when she was just fourteen and performed for the first time ever on the iconic Bluebird Cafe stage, the song uses the simple metaphor of “a pocketful of pebbles” to trace love lost, lessons learned, and the journey forward.
With her DIY ethos — writing, producing and performing — and a career already praised by Billboard Music World as “not a flash of light, but a power grid” — Ariel Jade proves that depth, talent and independence still matter in the modern music world.

“I’ve got a pocket full of pebbles...” says Jade in the opening line of the song — and don’t we all? With a groove steeped in heartfelt storytelling, lush harmonies, and a bold, soulfully empowered vocal performance, “Pebbles” captures the emotional weight of the lessons we all carry — and the liberation that comes from letting them go.

Speaking with Ariel Jade about the song, she describes “Pebbles” —

“It’s just like in life – you have to let go of things that weigh you down. ‘There’s a fork in the road; drop the pebble of hate. One step closer to the life I want to make.’ Growth and progress should be the goal. Loving oneself and others is utmost. The ‘bad’ that you carry along with you only weighs you down, making the journey that much harder and that much less enjoyable.”
